Not on LyX. That's to be shared with a full SuSE 10.0 installation.

I have not closely followed the latest achievements of the Norwegian
harddisk manufacturers but hereabout 200G laptop harddisks are not
'the cheapest thing' to have.

Because the laptop has a 40G hard disk, 8G or so 'system backup area',
a ~18G Windows partion which is not obsolete for a few reasons. Minus
swap this leave ~11G for the SuSE partition.

The funny thing is I am fairly happy about the general performance of my
current computer equipment. It works just fine - apart for LyX
development.
