Again there are a number of improvements: English thesaurus
(Aiksaurus) is included, Aspell has been fixed to get rid of the C:\Aspell hard-coding, LyX is now dynamically linked to everything including libintl and some minor things.

Note that only the English Aspell dictionary will work until Angus
has recompiled the dictionary installers (this will happen within a
few days)."

SH: Aha, I've been hoodwinked! Or is it a case of an average Word
user 'messing up'? The alternate folder location for C:\Aspell is
accomplished by the new Windows installer, not aspelldata-root.exe,
is that deprecated now? I can imagine some situations where a user
might have LyX installed and just want to change the location of
C:\Aspell to elsewhen, and run reconfigure (maybe it wouldn't work).

Ok, so I'll give this a try using the new installer and report back.

Many and mysterious are the ways a user can mess up :-)

There is good gnus and bad news. The Aspell execution has been
disconnected from C:\Aspell, rather cleverly, IMHO. But, the
Dictionary still seems to be tied to C:\Aspell, so spellchecking
doesn't work. The Dictionary has a *destination* screen so that
that the dictionary can be installed to F:\Aspell, but I tried
that with Reconfigure, and spellchecking doesn't work. So then
I tried copying the subdir "Locale" and "Dictionaries" folders
from C:\Aspell where is was naturally installed to my F:\Aspell
folder, Reconfigure, and it still didn't work, said it couldn't
find my Dictionary, but it did when it accessed C:\Aspell ...
Perhaps the Dictionary can be installed as a sub-directory of
LyX as was done with Aiksuarus?

Also I noticed that Start in: C:\localtexmf\tex\latex\dvipost
would this have changed if I had C:\texmf and C:\localtexmf
directories installed on F:? Maybe I have a mis-impression; I
thought the purpose of making installation of Aspell independent
of C:\Aspell would include the dictionary and other forced uses
of C: such as that Documents and Setting\Application Data write?
AspelldataRoot doesn't seem to have a screen to assign destination.

Overall, I thought this was a very nice improvement as the
dictionary issue hopefully may not be as hard to fix. I think
the priority should fall on making the installation flexible and
the number of screens should serve that goal.

Of course I'm an average Word user so my opinion is trendy :-)
