beamer comes with tetex $ rpm -qf /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/beamer tetex-latex-3.0-7.FC4 Since tetex belongs to Core and lyx belongs to Extras it is not possible to have a package in Core depend on Extras so it is not possible to have a subpackage with the lyx-beamer. Also to install it as it should tetex should require lyx, and even if we like this alternative it certainly is a bit silly. ;-) So for the moment this is the simplest alternative in Fedora. > Georg -- José Abílio
