While we are talking about layouts, there is also a powerdot layout and
example LyX-files available:
ftp://ftp.ctex.org/CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/powerdot/distrib/doc/lyx/
Powerdot is released under the lppl so we can deliver this with LyX too.
You should use _only_ the files from the local TeX distribution!
The configure script should be able to test
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp> kpsewhich powerdot.layout
/usr/local/texlive/2005/../texmf-local/tex/latex/powerdot/doc/powerdot.layout
and
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp> kpsewhich beamer.layout
/usr/local/texlive/2005/../texmf-local/tex/latex/beamer/lyx/layouts/beamer.layout
and linking to these files or copy it into the layout dir.
