In Fvwm2 it's:

Key Left        A               M      Scroll -100 +0
Key Left        A               SM     CursorMove -1 +0
Key Left        A               C      CursorMove -50 +0

(50 is 'half a screen'). 

Pretty covienient if you use X as an 'xterm multiplexer' with 4 xterms
per virtual screen (or two long ones...)

Probably. But the pink corners could overlap to the outside instead of
requiring additional space....

So we have less than one box per paragraph. Doesn't sound overly
