I noticed that there is this directory:
share/lyx/tex
|-- broadway.cls
|-- cv.cls
|-- hollywood.cls
|-- lyxchess.sty
|-- lyxskak.sty
`-- revtex.cls
with some latex-files in it. How come that these particular packages are
distributed with lyx? What is the logic here?
What is the purpose of this directory?
Is lyx supposed to automatically add this directory to latex's search
path? That doesn't happen for me anyway... so I have to do:
setenv TEXINPUTS ${TEXINPUTS}:/usr/local/share/lyx/tex//
to use them. Is this documented, or should it be added to the FAQ?
