Don't do that! Compile LyX with 2.96. Otherwise you'll have to recompile the Qt libraries etc etc. Therafter make an rpm with the 'make rpmdist' target and throw it this way. (You'll need to manually change 'rpmbuild' to 'rpm' in the Makefile but that's pretty easy, no? -- Angus
