Hello Joachim! Let me summarize what I understood from your mail:
We can have a caption for longtables in the firstHeader and a different one in a normal Header (or if I ommit the FirstHeader then the other one is valid for all of them). Question: Is it possible to have a Footer-Caption? I don't like the solution to implement this feature. I don't want text input fields for this type of stuff. The text should be inputed directly in the tabular (as then one has all option open regarding fonts etc.). I see the solution of this to put another button inside the FirstHeader/ Header rows which tells the tabular that this row of the (F)Header is a caption row and then the output routine can handle this transparently. We can say that the first word of this row will bee the [] text (hard spaces do not interrupt a word so you can actually have more then one real word inside the [] see lists) and the rest will be the {} text. The above should be _really_ easy to implement. Let me know how you like the idea, Jug -- -._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._ Dr. Jürgen Vigna E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mitterstrich 151/A I-39050 Steinegg Web: http://www.lyx.org/~jug -._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._-._
