Hi,
I would like to simplify the layout in the Graphics dialog. There are far too many fields and buttons. I suggest the following: 1) For both, LyX View and LaTeX Size, remove all the "Original Size", "Scale", "Costum" entries and reduce all that to merely: --------------------------- <> keep aspect ratio Width [______] [u] Height [______] [u] --------------------------- with [u] the unit list, including percentage. The Height field is disabled when "keep aspect ratio" is selected. Then, when creating a new graphics inset, let the dialog-defaults be - select "keep aspect ratio" (thus disable Height field). - unit is percentage - set width value to "100" This simple layout has the same size possibilities as before, and also defaults to the original size of the image. 2) Replace the "Screen display" check buttons by a choice-list that contains {Default, Monochrome, Grayscale, Color, Do not display}. (Qt Graphics dialog has this already). 3) Remove the Rotate radio-button, and let the value of angle determine whether rotation is needed or not: zero means NO rotation. This would simplify the Graphics dialog layout considerably, by removing in total 11 entries without affecting its functionality. Regards, Rob.
