1. The new Document and Tools menu entries look good. 2. The Reconfigure item jumps from the Edit menu to Tools menu upon loading a document. This is not nice. How about fixing its location under the File menu? Right in front of the Exit item. BTW: with all that high-tex impressive stuff in LyX, why is it still required to restart LyX after a reconfigure (too much Window$ style). Isn't it possible to have the running LyX executable reread the reconfigured stuff? 3. The Preferences item as the very last item in the Edit menu is quite common. Of course, that doesn't mean LyX has to follow that tradition, but why not? That's where everybody expects it to be! It's now too much hidden (at least when a document is loaded). 4. Navigate: if the Documents entry is plural, then Figures and Tables should also be plural. 5. Shouldn't the Preamble dialog merge with the Document->Settings as a Preamble tab? Rob.
