It is fine to say when you're too busy, you know. Remember I can't tell
the difference between you being overloaded and you just remaining in
disagreement.

I don't mind waiting for stuff per se, this is after all a volunteer
project. I had assumed the argument petered out simply due to
fundamental disagreement ...

I made two throw-away prototypes before my current tree, trying a
variety of weird and wacky layouts. (Not to say that some stuff in my
3rd tree can't be done better of course)

Oh, btw, when you suggest something I usually do try it out, since
you're normally righter than me ...

I agree totally. It was the deadlock that had "annoyed" me ... now
you've said it's simply livelock instead, then it can certainly wait.
