You know that we are not talking about the gcd. We are talking about a
sensible subset.

And that, of course, is subjective. But we've obviously reached the point
where your definition of sensible has left us with a subset containing not
much more than a single person, if at all.

That's not "sensible" in the usual sense. And you've seen some of the
consequences already. What does it take to convince you?
