Let pragmatism rule. The problem is that the graphicsParams struct, where
this info is held, does not have separate "scale" and "height" entries, so we
HAVE to overwrite. This will probably change soon enough, but I'm not going
to change any non-frontend stuff in the run-up to 1.2.
