I think we all agree on this. However it's often hard to reach some sort of consensus;
the usual approach is "for the benefit of the maximum nr. of people" (what's that
called again ?)
Note also that xforms is such a pain to program for simple things that it leaves
less time for interface fine-tuning (and some things are basically impossible).
I think that's the main reason the UI needs more work; because of xforms. I want
"ah, another xforms bug, like ALL LyX bugs secretly are" on my gravestone.
