Hi,

I edit a multipart document and encountered two interesting phenomenons:

Phenomenon 1:

  1. Open the main document which includes bibliography references
  2. Open the citation dialog
----> all subdocuments are loaded! (strange!)
  3. Close the citation dialog (without actually inserting a citation)
  4. Switch to a subdocument of your choice
  5. Open the citation dialog
----> all bibliography keys are shown (nice!)

Phenomenon 2:

  1. Restart LyX
  2. Open the main document again
  3. Open a subdocument of your choice
  4. Open the citation dialog
----> no bibliography keys are shown (well, not so good)

Being able to refer to bibtex entries given in a different part of
the complete document is very nice, indeed. But do you think you can
generalize the current approach a little bit? I don't want to be forced
to open the citation dialog before I can add citations in a different
document - and, of course, the current solution is not really intuitive.

Any ideas?

Michael
