That serves to reserve the space, but allow me to descibe how the
problem arose.
There's me with a slow connection, a graphic artist in N.Y. with a T1,
and my print shop with a T1. I'm typesetting the book. The graphic
artist is scanning and touching up the photo's and adding captions.
Somtimes I have to change the size of the printed photo, but not by
much. I don't want the graphic artist sending me 50Mb files, which I
would have to relay to the print shop, but I do want them to see enough
to know exactly which photo goes where. The the graphic artist can send
the photos to the print shop, and I can send a .ps file with fake photos
as included .eps files.
Thanks for the TeX tip. It will surely be useful.
