Granted, but this is not equal with your sweeping statement that "LuaTeX is in

What non_roman script does currently really work with LuaTeX? I would like to add this list to the wiki page.

We do not "default" to dvilualatex. The problem is that we do not yet have
support for a "OpenType" default backend, so LyX takes the first in the
alphabetical list, which just happens to be dvilualatex.

We should let the user decide. As much as you personally prefer XeTeX over
LuaTeX, other users might have a different preference.

My personal opinion is not important here, but the fact that the default should be able to handle as much cases as possible. Currently with dviluatex as default (no matter that this is only because of the alphabet) our default fails for many cases, for example when using a non-Roman script language. And these cases increase a lot with LyX 2.1.
