Adding some basic support (#0) like we have with other RCS is one weekend work and you'll spend more time on testing than coding. Some folks spoke about more fancy git support - in particular #1) use git for bundled format #2) use (some of) git codebase instead of relying on external calls we use for rcs/cvs/svn. I don't see anyone working on this goal for 2.1 so the poor-man's solution #0 wouldn't harm #1/#2. At least it would recover the possibility to use RCS interface for our own documentation we lost during (in)famous git transition of lyx codebase. Would you volunteer? Pavel
