Yes, I meant the status bar text "Font: default". But I think the user who is using LyX may not know that and should not know that. Why do you think it makes any sense to use an foreign default for new documents while the interface language and the help files are all in my current locale. That's why I'd propose to set the default for new documents to the current locale. Why not? Perhaps, the user who knows what he is doing did the text input in English and wants to keep this. Stephan
