We offer the two template files "revtex" and "latex8".
The one for revtex is a template for the obsolete LaTeX-class ReVTeX. Since years journal paper authors have to use ReVTeX 4 and that is why we offer a template file named revtex4.lyx for this class. Therefore revtex.lyx should be removed - nobody can use this template and it only leads to confusions.
The one for latex8 is a mystery to me. I could not find out for what it is for nor could I find a LaTeX-class for it. The template file itself does also not contain useful infos. In the last years I already asked what latex8 is without a helpful reply. So unless somebody can explain what this template is for, I would like to remove it.
