Well that just proves Pavel's point that the bug won't be fixed unless you 
report it!


What do you mean by the installer being less stable anyway? Do you mean the 
version of LyX that gets installed is less stable? Or do you literally mean 
that 
the installer crashes/installs LyX incorrectly?

If it's LyX that's crashing, do you have even a vague idea of what you're doing 
when it's crashing? It wouldn't be enough to debug the problem, but it might be 
enough to point at a known bug (which would be reassuring).
