You found an UI glitch. If you open the thesaurus for the first time with no actual selection (i.e., an empty request), the respective thesaurus instance is not constructed and thus the dialog thinks the thesaurus is not available. BTW I noticed in this thread that you downloaded and installed mythes manually. This should not be necessary. Mythes is included in the LyX tree (in src/support) and should be built and installed automatically. You'd just need to ship the dictionaries. Jürgen
