BTW, the README in xforms/forms states that I should run 'make
install' and this target does not seem to exist anymore. Could you
update the file?
A few remarks on the preference popup:
- in look-and-feel->screen fonts and outputs->printers, the bottom input
fields are not completely visible on my system (only the last pixels
are missing)
- the default paper size setting is used in LyX for two purposes: (1)
tell what the latex default paper size is and (2) tell what the
default paper size is for dvi tools (dvips, xdvi, etc.). This is
used to tell LyX what the site defaults are. I think that having
that next to font encoding is misleading, since the later actually
changes what encoding LyX will use.
