I agree that the inset-based search is THE way to go for an efficient
implementation. However, I'm trying to implement this feature without
having to add a method for each and every existing LyX class :-)
Once the GUI, user-interaction and expectations are there and clear,
changing the implementation is something that can always be done at a
later stage.
This simple linelen change seems so harmful to me and extends/completes
an existing functionality.
