Implementing this is indeed probably easy for somebody who needs it. The
only thing to watch for is that it should be selectable on a per-inset
basis.

I think it would make sense to reopen the bug (actually I just did it).
We already have some mechanisms to tell that we intend to work on a bug,
like setting milestone to 1.6.x for example. So in my view closing a bug
because nobody is doing it is not useful.
