can you elaborate a bit more? somehow i don't see how is this related to
the previous patch.

i would be happy to get rid of next-inset-toggle. have you tested, the 
situations
like inset-toggle inside some inset and just before another collapsable one?
wasn't next-inset toggle also somehow used for labels/crossreferences?
