The first error -- with the "return" symbol -- is an error in generating LaTeX rather than typesetting. (Thus, File > Export > LaTeX fails.) Concerning the second set of errors, when I create a new file with the Comment or Greyed Out notes, I don't get anything in the preamble defining these environments. Bennett
