but the last discussions in this thread are not whether \mathbf or \boldsymbol
is correct, but that we have two LFUNs one for \mathbf and second for 
\boldsymbol
and two bindings CTRL+B and CTRL+ALT+B.

current argumets i see:

pros:
- CTRL+B for \boldsymbol is more logically consistent

cons:
- more people want CTRL+B for bold + upright though
- we change binding in sensitive area and only few people will read 
RELEASE-NOTES,
  you know.
