1.6svn has recently regressed with some strange 100%cpu delays.

I can start up LyX, File->new then takes 6s. File->new again is quick.

Resizing the main window then needs 8s with 100% cpu work, which is strange for an _empty_ file.

do you have outliner on?
It seems to be outliner related, indeed.
I started LyX (with outliner)
Opened the math manual, got a long wait. (10s or so)
Resized the main window, got a long wait. (horizontal or vertical doesn't matter) Repeated the resize some times, dead slow each time. The screen does not repaint in this state. LyX uses 100% cpu, except the cpu needed to partially cover LyX
with an xterm to see that it indeed doesn't redraw when uncovered.

Closed the outliner. This implicitly resizes the main text window, but this was snappy.
Opened all the other help files, resized each time, always lightning fast!

Opened the outliner again. The main window shrunk to make room - 10s of 100% cpu. Resizing is 10s of 100% cpu again. Switching between tabs is 10s of 100%cpu before
the other document appear.

Closed the outliner, and everything is super fast again.

An outliner is a very nice thing to have, but it seems this one isn't working well yet.
Should I file a bugzilla report, or is it being handled already?
