Thanks for the example. The point of the class, though, would be to include everything that I think people using the class want by default :) And that's not just restricted to LyX users; the same problem appears for new LaTeX users too.
Meanwhile, I'm training myself to hit cmd+shift+r instead of cmd+r to reply to these emails. I'm really embarrassed by continuing not to get it right :(
