I took a look at Will's list, and in self-defense I have to vote against
his first suggestion. Not that I'm against making anything easier, but
I very much do NOT want inserted figures to automatically go in floats.
Most the time that I'm inserting a figure, it's into a beamer
presentation. I'm not sure beamer even allows floats, but in any event
I would be much happier if, when pointing to the image on slide 43, the
image actually was on slide 43.
