We cannot just remove these commands. This is very complicated and it took us a long time to get it right, especially when it comes to mulilingual document (think of mixing traditional Chinese, Japanese, German and French in one document). However, I try to make the CJK command a bit more customizable. That is: possibility to chose a font, possibility to suppress blanks (i.e. CJK*). I hope this will make it into 1.6. Jürgen
