While working on a book, I switch to the newly released LyX 1.5.0. Just before finishing, however, I notice that LyX 1.5 has a bug that forces me to return to 1.4.5.1. My publisher has already approved the layout, but I need to make some final editions and send the reworked PDF (which must not exceed the agreed number of pages and which must maintain the page breaks). 2. On my university desktop, the LyX installation always lags behind, because the applications are installed network-wide. Often, a previous major release is installed. I'm working on a book that needs to be sent out tomorrow, and after some final editing, I want to print it out on the institute's printer. As usual, I have my laptop with me, which has the recent version of LyX. But then, my laptop refuses to work. Now I need to make an identical printout via LyX 1.4.5.1 instantly. Jürgen
