ert is a hack, not support imho

You have to, as long as you deal with file format changes.

i meant that in the end i don't care how it looks because i am not a consumer.
so if people think that we should litter the reverted document with ert just 
because we can, so be it. but at more conceptual level i think that this is a 
perverse result of the possibility of ert.
