I cannot remember such a thing. The reason for me to start a new installer was because you didn't want to remove unofficial modifications that were not acceptable for the main LyX developers and Angus did not maintain his installer anymore. Hence there was no maintained official installer and that was what I wanted to solve.
But history is history. I'm just pissed of when Joost states my installer is beside LyX and that it is not possible to work with him as I could report bugs and make suggestions for certain installer features, but nothing happens.
I think you misunderstood me. The only thing I said in a topic (where a user asked for details about the situation with LyX having two installer) is that your installer is "a bit more separated from the LyX project". What I meant to say was that you have a separate project page and therefore have the possibility to add modifications without asking the developers for permission.
I apologize if this statement was offensive to you, I certainly did not mean it that way.
