  Actually all those troubles are documented. :-)
  I know because I have updated using yum since FC-4. This works quite well 
for the n -> n+1 jump.

  The n -> n+2 works although it can be a bit tricky because of the package 
dependency changes.

  The n -> n+4 is a leap of faith. :-)
