This is complicated under Fedora. There are ways to upgrade "on the fly", then reboot, but this is not trivial and can lead to problems. It's one of the less desirable facts about Fedora. The approved method is to reboot using an install disk and then choose "upgrade". So it might be hard to do this without physical access.
