If LaTeX did not work, howecome I can create Dvi files after compiling?
LaTeX works.
xdvi works
gv works
xpdf works
etc etc.
The problem is that older versions of Lyx would export to ps,pdf,dvi by
just selecting those options in the exports.
Now they are all gone with just a customize tab you have to configure
yourself.
What a step backwards!

Then your LaTeX configuration is broken or maybe you have upgraded it
and didn't reconfigure LyX afterwards.
For the next time please also specify what OS, LyX version, and LaTeX
you use.
