Perhaps it's related to a similar problem I've noticed: when all
other applications are hidden except LyX, typing <Cmd>h (normally the
OS X keybinding to hide the frontmost application) should simply do
nothing; instead, an "h" appears in the document. It seems there may
be a problem with LyX catching key combinations that are also OS X
defaults.

We have had other reports about this already. Could you check whether
it is a general Qt/Mac problem?

I'm not sure what you mean: what would make it a "general Qt/Mac problem"?
