And 3.3.8 was released six months ago. What are you trying to say here? The fact that older versions are maintained does not imply that using them for new development is a good idea. Not even remotely. What really makes me sick here is the application of double standards. For boost we require the newest and shiniest and to be reasonably able to use this we even include it in our sources! And if this results in brown-paper-bag releases as 1.5.0 was it's just considered 'business as usual'. On the other hand, for Qt we are not even allowed to use the _penultimate_ _released_ version.
