This is you opinion, of course. What I can say is that Qt4 does not
work well with solaris 10, for example. I don't get antialiased fonts
and it is a real pain for reading. It is even worse than with the
old Xforms frontend. On the contrary, Qt3 works perfectly well and
I don't plan switching to lyx 1.5 on solaris until some OS upgrade
brings me antialiased fonts back. I don't know what is the problem
here, but I can't get antialiasing with Qt4 even after tampering
with fontconfig.

I don't want to argue with you here, because I more or less share
your opinion, but at least boost is included and automatically used.

If a Qt3 frontend was provided, I will be using LyX 1.5 on solaris,
as that is not the case, I will be still sticking with 1.4 for the
time being. With that attitude you may scare away users of alternative
systems, which often can't even have the third last released version.
