the solution could be that the user_name/mail() will return eg "Anonymous" by default. later (1.5.1 or so) - lyx initialization could be supplied by question dialog of user identity (like openoffice do) - here the original code for user_name/mail could be used and it will be on the user approval whether he wants to provide such kind of information. it seems to me that the first part is just few-lines patch and no lyx format change is needed. pavel
