IIRC José and me came to the conclusion that LyX 1.4 can handle all 1.5
docs and lyx2lyx already took care of the 1.4->1.3 conversion.
The problem is that the beamer templates (before Enrico changed
\output_changes to false) had an additional white bar to the left if output
with 1.5. They do not have this bar if output with 1.4.
See for comparison the relevant diff of the Userguide (the textcomp change
comes from the insetlatexaccent replacement and is OK).
I looked at the diff - I see a 1.5-generated TeX file with CT output
activated and a 1.4-generated TeX file with CT output disabled.
Are we comparing applies and pies here? Nobody ever stated that TeX
output has to be the same with CT output on and off. In fact, the output
has to be different, otherwise the feature is useless...
For the future I suggest that we are really strict about this stuff: No
file format change is committed without lyx2lyx support and bumping the
version number.
I fully agree. 100%!
So, do we have a real problem or is there just a misunderstanding?
