Indeed, 1.4.x seems not using dvipost in this case:
That means that we have a file format problem. Why was the file format not
changed when the dvipost change was made? I remember vaguely having
discussed this with Michael, but IIRC the result was the he wanted to check
if a file format change was needed. Michael, do you remember the outcome?
The conclusion at that time was that there is no need for a file format
change.
Could someone please rephrase what the exact problem is?
