And BTW I disagree with the recommendation to use pdf images for pdf output, because other formats would slow down the workflow. The images should be inserted in whatever format they originally are, and LyX should handle the conversion. Being forced to do manual conversions slows down the workflow. With LyX you only need to enable the converter cache, and it wil only convert if the source has changed. Georg
