Hmm, It was not obvious to me that I could do that in the width field.
I'll try it.
I agree that not all uses of protected spaces can be avoided.
Maybe a section in the docs "tricks for avoiding protected spaces."
I don't yet know nearly enough to write it but if there were more
contributions like this one, I would try to compile them.
