The shortcuts are shown in the status bar only for functions that have
been invoked through menubar or toolbar. Is that what you see?
No: after the appropriate menu has been opened, using the keyboard
shortcut results in the shortcut being shown in the status bar.
(Before it has been opened, nothing shows when using the keyboard
shortcut.) But I do see the shortcut in the status bar whenever the
function is invoked via the menu or the toolbar.
Is that clear?
