It is probably clear enough, but very weird... Are you sure it did not
happen before the patch?? I do not see anything in there that could
have this kind of consequence.

OK, so I lied: it does happen without the patch (sorry!). I just hadn't realized when I tested without the patch that I needed to have opened the menu first.
