Yes, enumerate and itemize are no longer close...
But it is much easier that way, nontheless. I'm using it all the time and it is
a big relief not having to look for a layout in the list of ~50.
Actually, there is a comment in this style inside my code saying that maybe a
hierachical menu is better, but since writing that I changed my mind. Now I
feel that a list is easier to navigate in this case.

Play with it a bit and you will see that it works well for any depth. If the
text gets too long, it truncates it in a logical position and adds an
ellipsis. As far as depths are concerned, I checked it quite thoroughly.
