LyX project history is almost all about that bus thing happening. Look at the poor people who had to properly fix change tracking because I ran out of time to make it work well. Look at the spellchecker code ;) Lars is being (understandably) paranoid about always keeping the core in a reasonable state. It can't always happen, and sometimes it's a little extra work, but it's very important, don't you agree? regards john
